Although it is currently 3:30 p.m. I'm about to leave Ouagadougou for my new home in Yako. It will visit a few places, but it would seem very likely that I will be at the SEMUS center (Société d'entraide mutuelle du Sahel). This morning, accompanied by Clementine Vambamba of CECI and Bernadette Drabo CIC-DOC, we look at other cultural aspects of the community. I'm leaving you with some other informations.
Climate
Burkina Faso has a tropical climate Sudano - Sahelian ( characterized by significant rainfall variations from an average of 350 mm in the north to over 1000 mm in the south -west ) with two very distinct seasons : the rainy season with rainfall between 300 mm and 1200 mm, and the dry season with a hot dry wind from the Sahara . The rainy season lasts approximately four months between May -June and September , its duration is shorter in the north .
We can therefore distinguish three main climatic zones:
• Sahelian zone in the north : less than 600 mm of rainfall per year and high temperature ranges ( 15-45 degrees).
• Sudano-Sahelian zone between 11 ° 3 ' and 13 ° 5' north latitude . This is an intermediate area to the temperature and precipitation .
• Sudano- Guinean south of the country : more than 900 mm of rain per year and relatively low average temperatures .
There are two uneven seasons:
• A very short winter season (if we can say so) of 3 to 4 months (June to September).
• A dry season, 8 to 9 months (October to June).
Scarcity and uneven distribution of rainfall cause migration increasingly strong population mainly to northern and central cities, southwestern Burkina Faso and the hill country .
The temperature ranges from 16-45 degrees Celsius is estimated at 3000 mm average annual evaporation and annual recharge of groundwater to 40 mm.

Language
The official language is French . Many national languages are spoken , the most common are Moore, Jula , Gulmancema and foulfouldé

Regional councils bring together representatives of departments that formerly met in the provincial councils . There are currently more since 2011 consultative meeting in provinces that are simple administrative intermediaries between regions and departments , former provincial councils which were represented municipalities have been grouped into regional councils.

Religion
The fourth general census of population and housing of Burkina Faso has been done on the ground in December 2006. He identified 60.5 % Muslim , 23.2 % Christian (19 % Catholic and 4.2 % Protestant ) , 15.3% animists , 0.6 % other religions and 0.4 % of no religion.
