Burkina Faso (Yako)
Le Burkina Faso, littéralement « Pays des hommes intègres », aussi appelé Burkina, est un pays d'Afrique de l'Ouest sans accès à la mer, entouré du Mali au nord, du Niger à l’est, du Bénin au sud-est, du Togo et du Ghana au sud et de la Côte d'Ivoire au sud-ouest. Ses habitants (14 017 262) sont les Burkinabé. La population est composé de 51,7% de femmes et 48,3% d’hommes. 77,3% des Burkinabé vivent en milieu rural et 22,7% en milieu urbain. La population se caractérise par sa jeunesse (46,2% ont moins de 15 ans). En 2008, l’espérance de vie à la naissance était estimée à 56,7 ans.
La capitale est Ouagadougou, située au centre du pays. Le Burkina Faso est membre de l’Union africaine (UA) et de la Communauté économique des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (CEDEAO). C'est l'un des 10 pays les moins développés du monde (avec un indice de développement humain de 0,343 en 2012).
Géographie de Yako
Yako est une ville du Burkina Faso. Elle est le chef-lieu du département homonyme et de la province du Passoré qui fait partie de la région du Nord. Yako est situé à 109 kilomètres de Ouagadougou. Environ 30 000 habitants vivent à Yako, un chiffre en constante augmentation
Situé dans la province de Passoré, sur la route reliant Ouagadougou (la capitale) au Mali, en passant par Ouahigouya, Yako est une ville de passage où transitent marchandises et voyageurs. La ville est située à l'entrée du sahel, ce qui explique son climat chaud. Le barrage Kanazoé est situé à 25km de Yako, ce qui permet une bonne irrigation des cultures des alentours et de la pêche, dont les marchandises approvisionnent le marché de Yako ( tomates, oignons, poissons principalement).
