Avant midi relativement tranquille puisque plusieurs chefs de département étaient parti sur le terrain superviser certains de leur projets. J’en ai donc profité pour planifié mes rencontres de l’après- midi avec certains d’entre eux. De plus, il y avait de passage à nos bureaux une autre volontaire (Danielle) venue faire une présentation, qui m’a demandé un peu d’aide avec sa présentation qu’elle devait faire.

Durant mon lunch, je suis allé marcher dans la ville, principalement dans des quartiers que je n’avais pas eu l’occasion de visiter jusqu’à présent. De plus, je suis arrêté au restaurant d 'Helene, prendre une photo de elle afin que vous puissiez voir qui est cette fameuse Helene :)!

En après- midi, j’ai rencontré Maurice et Ramdé, Chef du département d’Actions Solidarité et santé communautaire, afin d’établir avec eux leurs mandats et attributions, ainsi que ceux de leurs responsable de bureau. Cette rencontre s’est très bien déroulée, et ils étaient arrivés préparés. Plus tard en fin de journée, c’était au tour de Darga et Moktar, chef du département de développement durable, qui inclut le bureau d’environnement, le bureau de production agricole et animale, ainsi que le bureau de micro-finance. Cette rencontre fût un peu plus fastidieuse puisqu’ils étaient moins bien préparés que les précédents. Comme il était déjà 18 :15, je leurs ai donnés quelques points de repères afin qu’ils poursuivre leur réflexion, et que vendredi on se rencontre à nouveau pour bâcler le tout.

En soirée, je voulais en profiter pour mettre mon blog à jour, mais comme j’écrivais que des techniciens étaient venus faire quelques réparations sur la connexion internet et que depuis la stabilité allait, bien deviner quoi! Immédiatement après avoir mis mon message en ligne, on a perdu la connexion pour le reste de la soirée. Nul besoin de vous dire que j’avais parlé trop vite :)!



Tuesday, February 11

My morning was relatively quiet since many department heads were gone in the field overseeing some of their projects, so I took this opportunity to plan my afternoon meetings that I had scheduled with some of them. In addition, in the morning there was another volunteer (Danielle) who was passing by our office to do a presentation. She asks me if I could give her help with her presentation that she was to do in the afternoon to some external partners of SEMUS.

During my lunch, I went walking in the city, mainly in areas that I had not had the opportunity to visit so far. Plus, I stop by Helene 's place to take a picture of her , so you can see who she is :)

In the afternoon, I met Maurice and Ramdé , Head of the Department of Community Health and Solidarity Actions to establish with them their mandates and responsibilities , as well as their office manager mandates and responsibilities. The meeting went very well, and they had come prepared. Later in the afternoon, it was the turn of Darga and Moktar , head of sustainable development , which includes the environmental office, the office of livestock production , as well as the office of microfinance. This meeting was a little more tedious as they were less prepared than the previous. As it was already 18: 15, and couldn’t see the end of it, I’ve asked them to do some little homework. I communicated with them what I was looking for, and asked them to give me their reflections Friday morning.

In the evening, I wanted to take this opportunity to put my blog up to date , but as I wrote that technicians had come to make some repairs on the internet connection and since it was stable, well guess what!... Immediately after putting my message online, we lost the connection to the rest of the evening. No need to tell you that I had spoken too fast :)!
